The surfaces of all profiles are further protected by passivation using chromic acid. As humidity and weather in general can oxidise the material, producing white rust deposit on the surfaces of the profiles, we suggest you take the following measures:
store the profiles in covered and ventilated areas
keep the material away from corrosive substances such as combustion products, chemical vapours and dust from metal processing.
" in the case of storage in open air (not suggested) arrange for the packages to be inclined so as to drain any water that may enter; protect the profiles with suitable " sheets, always ensuring that there is enough air circulation to avoid condensation.
Assembling the profiles
The axis of the partition are marked over the floor and the surrounding walls. With a carpenter's level and a straight slat the wall's axis are marked on the ceiling.
The profiles are cut with a tin scissors. For continuous thick connection between the border construction elements and the connector profiles joint tapes are used.
Over the markings on the floor and ceiling the UW50, UW75 or UW100 profiles are fixed. They should be fixed with a dowel with a screw pin fastener at an 80-cm distance.
The main CW50, CW75 or CW100 stud profiles are placed in the UW runners at a distance between the axis 60cm and are leveled with a level.
After that the furring of the first wall with a whole board begins. The boards are screwed to the CW stud profiles with type-s screws at a distance not more than 25cm.
The installation work is done. The cavities offer enough space. In the basement of the CW profiles holes are drilled for installations. More holes could be made if needed. For electric switches and plugs special boxes for hollow walls are used.
For heat and sound insulation special material is used.
After all this the second side of the wall is furred commencing with half of a board. In this way the joints between the boards are moved.
